About Us
Sunmither Taekwondo School
Who We Are
Established in 2018, our club is a vital part of North Vancouver, B.C. Our goal is to promote students’ physical activity and teach important values such as respect, discipline, confidence, and leadership.
What Does "SunMither" Mean?
Our club is named after the ancient Persian goddess Anahita, also known as Mithra.
Mithra symbolizes light and was born by a sacred stream, under a sacred tree, holding a torch and a knife—a symbol of connection to the earth. The torch he holds can represent his role in illuminating the world and dispelling darkness, while the knife is often interpreted as a tool for sacrifice and transformation
Our Goal
We aim for students to excel in both academics and community engagement, demonstrating how training here can genuinely transform lives.
Through Taekwondo training, we’ve observed how it contributes to personal and professional success. The positive qualities learned in our programs benefit individuals in their work, school, and home life.
The SunMither Taekwondo Club is more than just a regular martial arts school; we’re a vibrant community that empowers individuals to realize their potential. Whether you’re a novice or experienced, our expert trainers will accompany you on a journey of self-discovery and growth. Our diverse programs are meticulously designed to enhance fitness, mental strength, and discipline in all aspects of life.
